Zipp Express makes technology work for you. We know timing is everything in the transport business. And technology aids in the growing demand for speedy, on time delivery.
We strive to make sure we are providing our customers with the best experience possible. To do this, we are always seeking to improve our service. This is why we rely on the most up-to-date technology available.
For example, if you are a lab or business that deals in medical supplies and partners with local doctor’s offices, you need access to regular pickup and/or drop-off. Zipp Express can help you with both. Here’s how this works.
Route Planner
Zipp Express strives to be on time every time. We hire local drivers and crews because they know the St. Louis area best. They know which streets are busiest and when to avoid them. But thanks to route planning technology, they can also plot courses that make sure they avoid traffic jams and road construction. So if your shipment is time-sensitive, as lab tests often are, our drivers will deliver it on schedule.
This technology allows our crew to provide excellent service on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. And as we deliver within a 150-mile radius of St. Louis, it means they can anticipate road conditions and take steps to adjust their routes.
We also provide expedited service to other states within the US. So route planners help our drivers make their way across the country with as few delays as possible.
Online Scheduling
Our customers have access to online tools that allow them to schedule regular deliveries at times that work for them. For instance, if you are a lab that partners with a local doctor’s office and you need lab tests picked up and delivered at the same times every day, you can log in to your account with us and set up a time for pickup with the doctor’s office that will work for both you and them.
If you sell medical supplies or equipment to local hospitals or doctor’s offices, you can schedule pick up and delivery of those supplies on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
Zipp Express Offers Real-Time Tracking
One way Zipp Express makes technology work for you is with real-time tracking.
When you set up a delivery with us, Zipp Express will provide you with all the information you need to track your shipment. You can then share that information with your clients.
This also applies if one of our TSA-certified drivers delivers a shipment of medical equipment to the St. Louis Lambert Airport. From the moment they collect it to the moment we place it in the cargo hold on the plane, you can see who has it and where it is.
Because we are located just one-mile west of I-270 off I-70, less than ten minutes from the airport, we also provide Next Flight Out service. And customers who request it can confirm that their shipment is on schedule.
By the same token, from the moment our courier picks up the lab tests and delivers them to your place of business, you can track your shipment and anticipate our time of arrival. This allows you to better organize and plan your day and ensures the results will be reliable. We prioritize time sensitive deliveries like this because we understand that tests related to the health and well-being of customers can be a life and death matter.
Signature Capture
Zipp Express believes good communication saves everyone a lot of trouble. As a business owner, you can be sure your shipment of medical supplies arrives at the expected time by logging into your account and checking to see when it arrived and who signed for it.
And clinics who send their lab work to you can track when you received it. This way, they can anticipate when they can provide their patients with timely results.
Proof of Delivery Notification by Email
For the purposes of record keeping and/or extra-assurance, you can also ask for notification by email when your shipment is received at its destination and who received it. This is known as Proof of Delivery or POD.
This is useful for businesses that deal in large orders, as well as small business owners, as it provides a virtual paper trail. Confirmation of acceptance means fewer misunderstandings.
24/7 Security at Our Warehouse
One important way Zipp Express makes technology work for you is through our warehouse operations.
Sometimes shipments are going to arrive at inopportune times. If your warehouse or storeroom is already full, or the shipment is going to arrive outside of business hours, you may need to make arrangements for short term storage. Zipp Express is available to handle your shipments regardless of when they arrive.
Our 40,000 square foot warehouse with 25-foot high ceilings can accommodate your shipment until you’re ready for it. We have cross-docking capacity that allows us to work with our shipping partners to move your freight quickly from their trucks to either our warehouse or our trucks.
All of our employees have extensive background checks and undergo careful training, but we offer an extra layer of security with sensitive shipments like medical supplies.
Upon request, we can store your shipment in our 2000-square foot caged space. This area is accessed only with swipe card technology. And the same tracking software that lets you see it while it’s en route to its destination will allow you to see that we’ve stored it safely for you until you are ready for it.
Our warehouse has 24/7 state-of-the-art security that includes motion-activated cameras and sensors. And a technician monitors all of them through a live Internet feed. If anything seems at all amiss, our security team will immediately see it and act.
