Define: refrigerator trailer

A refrigerator trailer (sometimes known as a reefer) is exactly what you think it is. It keeps the shipment at a specific temperature throughout its delivery time. Just like the home refrigerator, it’s insulated and has a condenser and compressor designed to keep temperatures consistently cool. But instead of an electrical outlet, it’s powered by a diesel engine.

What are they used for?

• Tobacco products. Cigarettes and cigars don’t tolerate high humidity and temperatures.

• Honey bees
